Your Tokyo 2020 Olympic Ticket

Please be sure to keep your ticket in a safe place and do not forget to bring it along with your Official Hospitality pass on Games day.

*Please note that the gate listed on your ticket is the closest to your seat inside the Competition Venue.  Entry via any gate is permitted, however for IVH venues located inside the ticketed perimeter it is recommended that you use the gate closest to your IVH venue.

FAQs

1. General

Q: What is Official Hospitality?
A: Sports Hospitality made its debut in Japan at Rugby World Cup 2019™ and is paving the way as a new way to enjoy sports. Tokyo 2020 Olympic Official Hospitality packages include food, beverages and a ticket to the Games.

Q: Are children permitted at Official Hospitality Venues?
A: Children under five (5) years of age are not permitted entry to Official Hospitality Venues.  Minors under 20 years of age must hold a valid Official Hospitality Pass and be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

Q: Do I need to provide my guest details?  
A: No, you are not required to submit your guest details in advance of the event. We do however recommend that you keep a record of your guest names against the details of their ticket, including ticket number (11 digits), block, row and seat number. This information may be required at a later date in the event of any ticket related issues.

Q: Where can I purchase Tokyo 2020 official merchandise?
A: Official merchandise featuring the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic emblems can be purchased at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Official Online Shop.

Q: What is the dress code for Official Hospitality?
A: The recommended dress code at Official Hospitality Venues is smart casual. Please note that a jacket is not required and comfortable walking shoes are recommended. As the weather is expected to be very hot and humid at this time of year, we recommend you dress appropriately, including a hat and sunscreen when attending outdoor events.

Q: What should I do if I have special needs such as accessibility requirements?
A: Any special needs, including visual impairment, hearing impairment or physical disability must be made known before your purchase to ensure that suitable seating can be secured.  We regret that we are unable to accept requests for special needs after the completion of your purchase.

Q: What should I do if I have dietary requirements?
A: Any dietary requirements or allergies must be registered at least 14 days in advance of the relevant Games event via the Official Hospitality Customer Centre. You will receive a reminder closer to the event prompting you to register any dietary requirements.

Q: Is smoking permitted at the venue?   
A: Please note that smoking is not permitted, and smoking areas are not available at any Tokyo 2020 venue.

Q: Will Competition Events go ahead in the event of bad weather?
A: Some sports may be impacted by adverse weather conditions including rain, which may result in a change of schedule, cancellation of the event or other changes. Regarding Competition Events, we will follow the decisions made by the Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee and notify you of any changes to your itinerary.

Q: What specific COVID 19 countermeasures will be in place at Official Hospitality venues? 
A: The Official Hospitality programme will apply COVID 19 countermeasures in line with any general guidelines set by the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Organising Committee.  Any additional countermeasures specific to the Official Hospitality programme will be announced closer to the Games timing.

2. Official Hospitality Venues & Competition Venues

2.1
Q: How will I get to and from the Official Hospitality Venue?
A: Please plan to make your own way to and from the Official Hospitality Venue. Please follow the transportation guidance provided on the Tokyo 2020 official website – https://tokyo2020.org/en/venues/

Q: Is parking available at the Competition Venue or Hospitality Venue?
A: No, please note that parking is not available at any venue.

Q: What is required in order to gain access to the Official Hospitality Venue?
A: All guests must present their Official Hospitality pass and ticket to gain entry to the Hospitality Venue. Please note that the Official Hospitality pass only permits the holder entry to the Hospitality Venue and does not provide access to the Competition Venue. Official Hospitality passes must always be worn inside the Hospitality Venue.

Q: Will there be a designated entrance for Official Hospitality guests at the Competition Venue?
A: Official Hospitality guests can access via a priority lane upon presentation of your Official Hospitality pass.  Please look out for “IVH Lounge Guests” on the signage at the venue and note that you are able to access through any lane on the day.

Q: Can I bring an umbrella into the competition venue?
A: Only foldable umbrellas are permitted.  Please note that you may not use your umbrella when watching the Games and so it is recommended that you bring a raincoat in the event of rain.

Q: Can I bring drinks into the competition venue?
A: Each guest is permitted to bring one pet bottle or drink bottle (no glass) under 750ml for personal use.  Please see  here  for the list of prohibited items (Japanese only).

Q: Will there be a security check prior to entering the Competition Venue?
A: You will be required to pass through a Pedestrian Screening Area (PSA) prior to having your ticket scanned at the Ticket Check Point (TCP). Please be sure to check the Tokyo 2020 – Terms and Conditions of Ticket Purchase and Use for details regarding prohibited items before attending.

Q: Where can I find a map for my Official Hospitality Venue?
A: Maps will be made available on the Official Hospitality Customer Centre and Hospitality Guest Guide closer to the Games timing.

Q: Can I bring luggage with me to the Official Hospitality Venue?
A: Please note that you should not bring luggage or other bulky items with you to the venue. Please be sure to check the list of prohibited items in advance and only bring essential items with you on the day.

Q: Can I have a pass for staff to access the Official Hospitality Venue to assist invited guests on the day?
A: Please note that staff passes are not available. Anyone wishing to gain access to Official Hospitality Venues must be in possession of a valid Official Hospitality pass and ticket.

Q: Can I re-enter after my ticket has been scanned?
A: Each ticket is only valid for a single entry and re-entry is not permitted after exiting the ticketed perimeter.

Q: Will there be a designated drop off or pick up point for Official Hospitality guests?
A: Please note that there is no designated drop off or pick up point at any Competition or Hospitality Venue.

Q: Will I be able to come and go from the Hospitality Venue during my session for food and beverages?

A: Access to Official Hospitality Venues during the session depends on your Official Hospitality package inclusions and venue. Details regarding your Official Hospitality itinerary will be available on the Customer Centre closer to the Games timing.

Q: What does “IVH” stand for?

A: “IVH” stands for In Venue Hospitality.  Please be on the lookout for this IVH icon on the day in order to locate your Official Hospitality Venue.

3. Official Hospitality Packages and Itineraries

3.1
Q: Where can I find the itinerary for my Official Hospitality package?
A: Itineraries will be available on the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Official Hospitality Customer Centre and Hospitality Guest Guide after May.

Q: How long before the Official Hospitality Venue opens should I aim to arrive?
A: Please plan to arrive at the opening time listed on your itinerary in order to make the most of your Official Hospitality package. Please note that entry will not be permitted prior to the opening time. 

4. Official Hospitality Pass & Tickets

4.1
Q: Do I need to bring ID? 
A: We recommend that you bring a form of personal identification with you as it may be required in the event of any ticket issues on the day.

Q: What happens if a ticket is lost, stolen or damaged?
A: Please ensure that tickets are stored in a safe location as access to the Competition Venue will only be guaranteed by presentation of a valid ticket. We regret that we are unable to reissue lost, stolen, damaged or defaced tickets.

Q: Can I resell my Official Hospitality package?
A: As per the Terms and Conditions accepted at the time of purchase, Official Hospitality tickets may not be resold. Please note that Official Hospitality tickets are exempt from the Official Ticket Resale Service which is available for general tickets only. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions for details.

Q: Can I transfer my package to another person?   
A: Official Hospitality packages may be gifted or sold at face value to individuals known to you. Please refer to the Terms & Conditions for details.
